obnizOS is itself a Wi-Fi access point and can be configured from your browser.

Connecting to the ESP32 as an access point

This setting is possible under the following conditions

  1. Wi-Fi or Ethernet, but the network is not yet selected
  2. if you selected Wi-Fi but failed to connect or couldn't find a possible connection

The ESP32 is outputting Wi-Fi with the above mentioned status. You can select SSID, password and IP address by connecting to it from your smartphone.

1 Connect to the ESP32's Wi-Fi

Connect to the ESP32's Wi-Fi with a smartphone or other device. The name of the Wi-Fi will be obniz-XXXXXXXXXX.

2 Open in your browser

The URL may vary depending on the OS version.

Here's what to do if you can open a page in your browser from your smartphone or other device to set up your settings, but you can't open that page.

If this happens, set the smartphone or other device you want to view to Airplane mode and connect only to Wi-Fi.

After that, open it again in your browser and it may work.

Set the Clock Mode, which is how to synchronize the PHY transceiver with the ESP32

Setting Description
IO0 IN GPIO0 become clock input
IO0 OUT GPIO0 become 50Mhz clock output from internal APLL
IO16 OUT GPIO16 become 50Mhz clock output from internal APLL
IO17 OUT GPIO17 become 50Mhz reversed clock output from internal APLL

This is how to reset the PHY transceiver from the ESP side.

Setting Description
